Our guys are back from the 106th Air Rescue Wing in Westhampton New York. On Saturday April 5, 2008 YN-19 and 12 volunteers attended the ceremony for Chief Master Sergeant (Ret) Dennis M. Richardson. Mr. Richardson received the Air Force Cross our Nations second highest medal awarded for his heroic actions as a crew chief during the Vietnam War 40 years ago.

The air show was Fantastic!  our UH-34D performed a pilot down rescue hoisting two downed pilots to safety. Flying with us in the show were three O2A's observation aircraft, these aircraft were used during the Vietnam War. Also flying with us was a F58 and a Russian Mig.

15 B25's were there at the show and they all flew in two formations. What a wonderful sight to see these Warbirds all flying at the same time.

           2007 MCAS Cherry Point

Our flight was a long 5.4 hours to arrive and a SUPER LONG 9.5 hours to get home due to 40 knot head winds. The show had many beautiful aircraft both as static and flying in the show.
The air show was Fantastic! we performed a Vietnam medevac reenactment of a wounded marine. We had some volunteer Marines from Camp LeJeuene NC that assisted us with the reenactment. We had fun doing the performance and everyone watching enjoyed it very much. We got nothing but positive compliments for our reenactment.
